ABOUT JOE
Art Director, Designer, Dad
I’ve been a designer ever since I got busted for doodling Spider-Man on a spelling test in third grade.
Undeterred, I carried that same “why not?” attitude to Murray State University, where I studied fine art and graphic design. I later attended the VCU Brandcenter, earning a Master’s Degree in Communication and Art Direction, and developing a love of marrying words and pictures together.
Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with design and advertising agencies including The Martin Agency, Ogilvy, Moxie, Bohan, 160over90, and The Weaponry. My work typically involves drawing things, telling stories, and building brands. From time to time, this has resulted in some awards.
I now run a small business with my wife and kids, who play vital roles across the operation, whether they’ve officially agreed to or not. Together, we make things, solve problems, and attempt to appear organized while doing so. It’s a collaborative effort.
